Submission Guidelines

By submitting a film to the International Sports Film Festival, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Submission Guidelines and Requirements

  • The festival is open to filmmakers from around the world, including professionals, amateurs, and students.
  • All submitted films must be related to sports, including but not limited to documentaries, feature films, and experimental works.
  • Films of all lengths are accepted (short, mid-length, and feature-length).
  • All films must be submitted in a high-quality digital format.
  • If a film is not in English, English subtitles are required.
  • Films that have had their premiere after January 1, 2025, are eligible for submission.

2. Selection and Screening

  • A professional jury will evaluate all submissions and select films for the official program.
  • The festival reserves the right to assign films to the most appropriate competition category.
  • Selected films will be screened during the festival.
  • The festival does not pay screening fees for selected films.

3. Rights and Permissions

  • By submitting a film, the applicant confirms that they hold all necessary rights (including music, images, and archival materials) for public screening.
  • The best films will be eligible for inclusion in the competition program of “Sport Movies & TV 2026 – 44th Milano International FICTS Fest.”
  • The festival reserves the right to use photographs, trailers, and short excerpts (up to 30 seconds) from selected films for promotional purposes.

4. Fees and Deadlines

  • Submission deadlines and fees (if applicable) will be listed on the FilmFreeway platform.
  • Submission fees are non-refundable.

5. Additional Terms

  • The festival reserves the right to modify the event schedule and screening format if necessary.
  • By submitting a film, participants agree to all festival rules and conditions.
