
Third International Sports Film Festival to Be Held from August 22 to 25 in Zlatibor
The Third International Sports Film Festival will take place from August 22 to 25 in Zlatibor.
A total of 12 documentary films from India, England, East Timor, France, Russia, Poland, the United States, Canada, Turkey, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia will be screened in the competition program.
This year, in addition to awards for filmmakers, the festival will also present Lifetime Achievement Awards. The recipients will be Miro Cerar, Ranko Žeravica, Radomir Antić, and Branko Ilić. The laureate in the field of film is director Goran Marković.
Special recognitions will also be awarded to Filmske Novosti, which will present a program of sports-themed films from 1946 to 1989 as part of the festival, along with the promotion of the monograph “70 Years of Filmske Novosti.” In addition to Filmske Novosti, recognitions will also be presented to the Sports Association of Serbia and the Yugoslav Film Archive.
Alongside the competition program, the festival will also feature screenings of full-length feature films “Montevideo, God Bless You!”, “National Class,” and “The Coach.”
The founders of the festival are the Municipality of Čajetina, the Zlatibor Tourist Organization, and Maja Film Užice, while partners include the Olympic Committee of Serbia and the Sports Association of Serbia.
