Third International Sports Film Festival Zlatibor 2014 Officially Closed

The third edition of the International Sports Film Festival Zlatibor 2014 was ceremonially closed on August 25, 2014, in Zlatibor, in the presence of numerous distinguished guests from both the domestic and international film industry.

The professional jury, composed of President Puriša Đorđević and members Elena Nikolayevna Barzova, an actress from Russia, and Vanja Dermendzhieva, editor of the sports department at the Bulgarian National Television, reached the following decisions:

– The Special Festival Award was presented to the film “Winners,” directed by Jovan Memedović.

– The Best Cinematography Award went to the Polish film “Reaching the Finish,” with cinematography by Roman Vasiluk.

– The Award for High Moral Values in Sport was given to the French film “My Greatest Story,” directed by Sarah Mirjam Poirson.

– The Best Director Award “Dinko Tucaković” was awarded to the film “Trace,” from Bosnia and Herzegovina, directed by Dragan Elčić.

– The Grand Prix for Best Film was awarded to the American production “Once Brothers,” directed by Michael Tollin.

The Festival Council, consisting of Artistic Director Jovan Marković, Council member Arsen Đurić, and Festival Director Mihailo Todorović, also presented two special awards for contribution to sports film:

– To the film “The Flame That Warms the Heart,” directed by Russian filmmaker Yevgeny Bogatyrev, who has created 112 sports films.

– To the film “Island of Happiness,” by Ukrainian director Sergey Dolbinov, for its contribution to preserving the history of sport.
