
International Sports Film Festival Zlatibor 2015
The Fourth International Sports Film Festival, taking place this year from August 29 to September 1, is dedicated to marking 90 years of organized tennis in Serbia. Among the six recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award is Novak Đoković. The other awardees are Mima Jaušovec (Slovenia), Nikola Pilić (Croatia), Jasna Šekarić (Serbia), and Milun Vesnić (Serbia) in the field of sports, as well as film director Darko Bajić (Serbia) in the field of cinematic arts.
The International Sports Film Festival is listed among significant international festivals and is the only one of its kind in the Balkans. The founders of the Festival are the Municipality of Čajetina, the Zlatibor Tourist Organization, and the film production company “Maja Film” as the executive organizer. Festival partners include the Olympic Committee of Serbia and the Sports Association of Serbia, with substantial support and assistance provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
This year’s festival will also introduce a new feature. It has been decided that, as part of the accompanying program, a presentation of sports legends from selected cities will be organized each year. This year, the city of Kruševac has been chosen.
A total of 16 films will be screened at the festival, competing for five awards. The festival will be officially opened by the President of the Tennis Federation of Serbia, Mirko Petrović, and the President of the Sports Association of Serbia, Aleksandar Šoštar.
