“250 Steps” Wins Best Film at the 7th International Sports Film Festival on Zlatibor

The festival concludes today with a special program featuring a meeting with Nataša Kovačević, the world pre-premiere of the documentary film “SKOK”, and the awards ceremony honoring the best authors.

The Festival Jury—comprising Srđan Savić, film critic and director of the Acting Festival in Niš; Vanja Dermendjieva, Olympic silver medalist and television editor from Bulgaria; and Dr. Ivan Šarjanović, former Yugoslav national team player and member of the most successful generation of KK Crvena zvezda—unanimously reached the following decisions:

  • Best Film Promoting High Moral Values in Sport was awarded to the Serbian documentary “Saša Đorđević – The Winner Remains”, directed by Nemanja Ćeranić.
  • Best Film About a Sports Personality went to the Serbian documentary “Žoc – The Decisive Man”, directed by Ivica Vidanović.
  • Best Cinematography Award was presented to the Chinese short documentary “Riding Above the Clouds.”
  • The “Dinko Tucaković” Award for Best Director went to Belgian filmmaker Sin Verstejgh for “Junior.”
  • Best Feature Film Award was presented to the Russian film “Ice”, directed by Oleg Trofim.
  • Best Short Documentary Film was awarded to the Serbian film “High Flyer”, directed by Miloš Petričić.
  • Best Feature-Length Documentary Film went to the French-Rwandan production “Football Rwanda: Fields of Memory” by François-Xavier Destors and Marie Thomas-Penette.
  • The Grand Prix for Best Film of the Festival was awarded to the Serbian documentary “250 Steps”, written by Vladimir Pajić and directed by Vladimir Kurćubić, produced by PGM Network, Belgrade.

Following the awards ceremony, starting at 7 PM, festival visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the feature film “Ice” by Oleg Trofim, starring the acclaimed young Serbian actor Miloš Biković.
