6th International Sports Film Festival Zlatibor 2017 Concludes

The 6th International Sports Film Festival Zlatibor 2017 officially concluded on July 2 with a closing ceremony held at the “Serbia” Congress Center on Zlatibor, where awards were presented to the best films across all categories.

The Festival Jury—chaired by Aleksandar Avramović, alongside Arzu Mamedova and Vanja Dermendjieva, Olympic silver medalist and television editor—unanimously decided on this year’s awards:

– The Special Award for Best Athlete Portrait was presented to Nebojša Radosavljević for the film “Champion.”

– The Best Cinematography Award went to Sergey Miroshnichenko for “Circles of the World.”

– The Best Feature Film Award was given to the Iraqi film “Messi from Baghdad”, directed by Sahim Omar Kalifa.

– The Best Film Promoting High Moral Values in Sport was awarded to “Dream of Circles”, directed and produced by Zoran Pavljašević.

– The Best Short Documentary Film Award went to Vladimir Perović for “Strokes”, produced by Radio Television of Vojvodina.

– The Best Feature-Length Documentary Film Award was presented to the Ukrainian film “Lobanovskyi Forever”, directed by Anton Azarov.

– The “Dinko Tucaković” Award for Best Director was awarded to Wolfgang Fasching for the Austrian film “Russia – From Coast to Coast.”

– The Best Film About a Sports Legend Award went to Sabahudin Topalbećirević for “Džajić.”

– A Special Award for Documentary Film Presentation was presented to Al Jazeera Balkans, Sarajevo.

The Grand Prix for Best Film of the Festival was awarded to “In My Sneakers – Ivana Španović”, produced by Radio Television of Serbia and Videostroj. The authors of the winning film are Dušan Bulić, Miloš Ratković, Đorđe Jovanović, and Aleksandar Stojanović.

The film was praised as a refreshing contribution to documentary cinema, combining outstanding cinematography and precise direction with a dynamic and engaging script, resulting in a truly compelling cinematic achievement.
