“Žućko” Closes the 1st International Sports Film Festival

The 1st International Sports Film Festival officially concluded on Friday evening with the screening of “Žućko.” Over the course of four days, audiences had the opportunity to watch 25 films from 14 countries.

The festival also featured a competitive program, with a jury composed of Dinko Tucaković (Serbia), Vanya Dermendjieva (Bulgaria), and Nikolay Porokhovnik (Russia), who faced the challenging task of selecting the winners. In the end, the jury decided to present three equal awards.

The awarded films were the Russian production “Alexey Yagudin: I Am Lucky to Have Tatiana,” directed by Oleg Shilov; “Why Do Jamaicans Run So Fast” by Mikel Galofré, a Spain–Jamaica co-production; and the Azerbaijani film “Sometimes the Ball Flies, Sometimes It Falls,” directed by Azru Urshan.

The festival was organized by the Zlatibor Tourist Organization, the Municipality of Čajetina, the Cultural and Sports Center Čajetina, and Maja Film (Užice), with the support of the Olympic Committee of Serbia.
